69-5136814msa68uc444096m.jpgThe iPod Classic is the latest revamping of Apple’s iconic hard drive MP3 player, formerly known as the Video iPod or fifth-generation iPod. As Apple’s only remaining high-capacity MP3 player, the iPod Classic comes in both 80GB ($249) and 160GB versions ($349), available in black or silver.

Apple iPod Classic (160GB, silver) Reviews From ciao

Advantages:
great screen, massive storage, cool cover flow feature

Disadvantages:
not sure if 160 gb is really needed

its just incredible! I’ve only filled 24 gb and I’ve put my entire album collection on it. I’ve also put on a few videos and photos.
The screen itself is crisp, has a sharp picture and is ideal for watching movies on. It also has the very nice cover flow - so yuo can easily browse your albums with the click wheel. The click wheel itself is easy and fun to use, making it easy to flick through artists and songs.
The Ipod looks good in silver, and doesn’t show scratches as much.

Apple iPod Classic (160GB, silver) Reviews From dealtime

Pros:
Tons of storage and many options.

Cons:
Price

Bottom Line:
If you are able to pay the extra money for this it is worth it. If not stick with the nano.

Apple iPod Classic (160GB, silver) Reviews From pricegrabber

Strengths:
huge hard drive, slim design!, style stainless steel finish, 40hr playing time

Weaknesses:
pricy

Summary:
I use to had Sandisk mp3 player with mirco SD card extend slot, but after I got this ipod classic 160gb, i gonna throw away my sandisk player!!! It is much better than my old mp3 player! fast song transfer, good size so i can put everything i want or whatever in there and even movies! cause the batter life is so long so i don’t really need to recharge that often which means it is good for people who like to travel or people who forgot to bring the charger!!! so good so far! really user friendly function! really love it so far! HIGHLY recommended!!

Apple iPod Classic (160GB, silver) Reviews From cnet

The good:
The iPod Classic is just like the fifth-generation iPod with video, only slimmer, tougher, and injected with a more visually rich graphical user interface.

The bad:
Video output now requires a proprietary cable; audio quality has not improved; some older iPod video accessories may not be compatible; users are required to use the latest version of iTunes, which may not work on some older computer systems.

The bottom line:
The iPod Classic is a refinement of the formula that put the iPod on the map. Few can match its combination of storage capacity, battery life, and advanced user interface.
