sandisk-sansa-clip-main.jpgWhile Apple remains the portable digital music behemoth, the competition, particularly in the budget flash player space, continues to thrive. iPod prices leave room for competitors to sweep in on the low end with less-expensive products that attempt to match or improve upon comparable iPod models. SanDisk’s Sansa Clip is a prime example; it costs just $39.99 (1GB) and $59.99 (2GB). Both of those prices beat the iPod shuffle’s $79.99 for 1GB of storage. SanDisk also adds a two-color OLED screen, an FM radio with 40 presets, and a voice recorder. The Sansa Clip isn’t perfect, but at this price, I don’t have many complaints.

The Sansa” Clip is a compact MP3 player that boasts big sound and comes loaded with useful features, including a clip for wearing, FM radio, recorder and a large bright, four-line screen. Overall everything you need for a great digital music and audio book experience is found in the Sansa Clip.

SanDisk Sansa Clip 2GB, candy apple red Reviews from pricegrabber

Strengths: It’s super small and weighs nothing! The ability to treat it as a flash drive (drag and drop) is awesome. No proprietary software necessary. Clip is HUGE plus.

Weaknesses: Can’t play songs per “folder.” I find that I really miss this option. Seems a little cheap (compared to apple’s aluminum body). Playlists are not intuitive to create!

SanDisk Sansa Clip 2GB, candy apple red Reviews From zdnet

The good: The SanDisk Sansa Clip offers impressive sound quality; an ultracompact, gym-friendly design with a removable belt clip; and useful features such as an FM radio and Rhapsody DNA integration. All of this comes at an incredible value, since the player is very inexpensive and easy to use.

The bad: FM radio reception isn’t great and connection of the Clip with Rhapsody was problematic.

The bottom line: The SanDisk Sansa Clip is an incredible value that’s set to edge out the competition with a user-friendly interface, gym-worthy design, and great sound quality.
