SanDisk Sansa Fuze Preview
S anDisk, a leading seller of MP3 players in the United States, unveiled the multi faceted Sansa Fuze MP3 player. The stylish music player is loaded with capabilities and features to keep consumers well entertained while on the go. Not only is it easy on the eye, it’s easy on the pocketbook. With availability planned for early April in the United States, the SanDisk Sansa Fuze music player comes in a wide array of colors (pink, red, blue, black and silver) and capacities (2, 4 and 8 gigabyte) with an expected starting price of only $79.99 MSRP.
SanDisk’s latest player the Sansa Fuze fits nicely in the family between the Clip and the View. How does the Fuze stack up? After just a few hours with the Fuze I can easily say that this is the best Sansa to date. The Sansa View was rushed to market and it shows in the details, but on the other hand you can tell that the Fuze got a lot more TLC.
SanDisk Sansa Fuze review from zdnet “The SanDisk Sansa Fuze is super cheap and nicely compact; it comes in a variety of colors and has an expansion slot that accepts microSDHC cards. The player offers a variety of desirable features such as an FM tuner, Rhapsody DNA integration, photo and video support, and a voice recorder.SanDisk Sansa Fuze Preview from engadget ” it measures a mere 0.3-inches thick, while still managing a quality feel and a microSD slot. Unfortunately, the size only leaves room for a 1.9-inch screen, which CNET calls “dingy,” and SanDisk’s proprietary syncing port on the player isn’t winning it any fans. Audio quality doesn’t quite match the Sony A810 or Samsung P2, and the codec support is fairly limited, but obviously Rhapsody integration is the real draw here. These days 24 hours of audio playback isn’t earth shattering either, but it’s certainly commendable, and while it doesn’t appear SanDisk is going to change to face of the DAP market with this unit, we’re sure they’ve hit the sweet spot for some.
SanDisk Sansa Fuze Preview from itdesk “SanDisk continues to add to its line of Sansa MP3 players, which has been attractive to consumers from the start thanks to the low price point at which the company can list its players. While cheap pricing has made SanDisk a real contender in the portable audio space, the company is not content to rest on that fact alone to draw new customers. SanDisk is persistently tweaking its new offerings in an attempt to make them better. Such is the case with the Sansa Fuze, a slim device with a high-quality feel and several shiny color options. Sure, it’s a bit of a Nano clone, but it also sounds good,
SanDisk Sansa Fuze Preview from mediraplayerreviews “This observation in quality unfortunately does not extend to the Fuze’s interface. The icon-driven main menu is nice enough to look at, and the device is very easy to navigate, with music organized into playlist, artist, album, and so on. And yet, as with other Sansa models we’ve come across, the inner menus are dull and, while we appreciate the option to at least change the wallpaper color, we’d love to be able to set a favorite photo as a backdrop or otherwise tweak the look-and-feel to our personal preferences. Still, this is a minor gripe, and part of the problem is actually caused by the screen’s protective coating, which casts a grainy shadow on the LCD.’
SanDisk Sansa Fuze Preview from pcmag “SanDisk’s latest addition to its portable media player line, the Sansa Fuze, fits cozily in between the dirt-cheap and diminutive Sansa Clip and the larger Sansa View in terms of both price and size. It’s possible that the Fuze was introduced by SanDisk to round out its line, since the Sansa Connect, which was tightly integrated with the now-defunct Yahoo! Music, was recently discontinued. As it stands, none of the Sansa players, the Fuze included, do anything as innovative as the Connect, with its Wi-Fi access to Yahoo! Music accounts, but they all deliver quality, performance, and features at low prices.
