Sony ICDUX70 / ICDUX80 Voice Recorders
Good news coming from Sony’s IT Peripherals division. The giant company has just announced a brand new range of Voice Recorders: the Sony ICDUX70 and UX80 voice recorders .
People like me treasure the words. We always had a desire to record the lecture in our College class. The most precious moments of our life were the sessions with our teachers which we miss today. Also, just for gags we talked about recording the voice of our friends and later on reproduce the recordings in front of his girlfriend or her boyfriend. But, we missed all this, as there was no such reliable device that could do the aforesaid tasks for us. You guys are lucky.
Sony has recently launched the perfect digital dictation device that lets the users Record, listen and store on one device featuring a built-in MP3 playback and USB connectivity. The ICDUX70 has the storage capacity of 1 GB while ICDUX80 Voice Recorder offers up to 2GB of storage capacity. This means you can store upto 290 hours and 581 hours of recordings in long play (LP) mode. A high-speed USB connection lets the users transfer data at a great speed. They feature of internal storage space and play back for MP3 files and record in MP3 stereo format, can capture 290 / 581 hours of audio in LP mode and is powered by plugging into a USB port. No word on pricing, but these two should be available later this month.
“Sony conducted an online survey across UK, France and Germany and found that voice recorder users considered five top features when purchasing their dictation device – price, music playback capability, compact size, MP3 recording functionality and PC connectivity”, said Mikuni Shikada, product manager, Sony Europe’s IT Peripherals division.
And if you want to buy one of those cool voice recorders from Sony, you should also know that the ICDUX70 is available in black and pink, while the ICDUX80 is available in black and silver. Both recorders are available starting this month, but there is no official price, yet!
Each newcomer incorporates a voice recorder with extra MP3 recording and playback functionality, as well as up to 2GB of storage capacity. Moreover, the devices come with a high-speed USB connection for data transfer and direct battery charge. Both Sony ICDUX70 and UX80 voice recorders models are said to be great for various recording uses, from meetings to music.
Designed to be much more than voice recorders, the two portable devices feature a digital pitch control function that allows playback of recordings to be heard at an increased or slower speed without distortion for transcribing or editing requirements. They also offer some extra cool stuff like the MP3 stereo recording and playback capabilities, so that users can record and listen to music while being on the go.
Also, the stereo recording is captured via the built-in microphone and the MP3 format is easily transferred to your PC using the simple ‘Drag and drop’ functionality, without the need for additional software.
You might also like to know that the users can adjust the sound tone to Rock, Pop or Jazz depending on their music preference. The devices can also perform direct audio encoding from CD/MD players. The high-speed USB connectivity allows for fast file transfers of voice recordings and MP3 files since, notably, the Sony ICDUX70 and UX80 voice recorders were designed to be used as USB storage devices as well.
